The Constitution and Bye-Law of Mishmi Baptist Church Council
The Constitution and Bye-Law of Mishmi Baptist Church Council is introduced and amended on_____________at _____________in____________conference.
PREAMBLE
We, the Mishmi Baptist Members and the Churches of Arunachal Pradesh solemnly resolved ourselves unanimously to form and constitute all the Mishmi Baptist Churches into one single body here in after shall be called as the “MISHMI BAPTIST CHURCH COUNCIL” with a view to profess, preserve and secure principles of Christian faith and practices and to govern in an orderly manner for close relationship, mutual co-operation, warm fellowship, maintain integrity and to promote teaching and preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and promote Christian works united in and outside of Arunachal Pradesh in accordance with the obedience to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ as referred in Matthew 28: 19-20, do hereby give ourselves allegiance to this constitution.
Article 1. Nomenclature:
The name of the council shall be called as “MISHMI BAPTIST CHURCH COUNCIL (MBCC)”.
Article 2. Operational Jurisdiction
a) The Jurisdiction of the Council shall cover all the Baptist Churches in Lohit and Anjaw districts in particular and can be extended beyond the districts and state, with its headquarter at New-Mekailiang, Tezu, District Lohit, Arunachal Pradesh.
b) All the Members of Baptist Churches, irrespective of their Nationality, Place of Birth, Tribe and Community shall be the Member of the Council.
c) The Council will follow the pattern of Semi-Centralized form of administration.
Article 3. Statement of Faith
a) We believe the Holy Bible is the infallible word of God, having authority in all the matters of faith and conduct.
b) One God eternally existed in three persons ‘Trinity’-God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit.
c) Salvation through faith alone in Jesus Christ and regeneration through the Holy Spirit in personal life.
d) Virgin birth, atonement through the blood on the cross, resurrection and personal return of the Lord in glory and final judgment.
e) Believers baptism by full immersion into water in all normal cases, and the Lord’s Supper should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Article 4. Aims and Objectives of the Council
a) A Council of Christ centred tribes and communities promoting love, unity, peace and service while fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20).
b) To unite all the Baptist Churches in Lohit and Anjaw districts and beyond.
c) To plant, construct, develop, supervise and strengthen the Baptist Churches under the council areas.
d) To have fellowship and co-operation with other Baptist Churches and denominations both at regional, national, and international level.
e) The Council is a religious based social organization. Hence, it will facilitate the charitable, social, cultural, educational and humanitarian service of the society irrespective of caste, creed or race including the management, supervision and administration of its affairs.
